Coconut macaroons - Coco-rocher
Ingredients
250 g Granulated sugar
4 Egg whites
Tools
Dough comb
Baking paper
Saucepan
Spatula
Scales
Thermometer

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
Weigh all ingredients
Put the 4 egg whites in a small pan together with the granulated sugar and mix well.
Turn on the heat to medium-high and place the pan on the stove.
Heat this mixture to a maximum of 60 degrees while stirring.
Remove the pan from the heat, mix with the spatula the flour and the grated coconut and add this to the egg white mixture.
Stir well together.
Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and scoop the macaroons onto the baking tray using 2 spoons.
Place the macaroons about 5 cm apart.
Place the baking pan in the center of the preheated 190 degree oven.
Bake them for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Let them cool on the baking tray.
Tips for extra finishing
When the cakes have cooled, melt some chocolate and dip the bottom of the cakes in it.
Then put them back on the baking paper and let the chocolate harden again.
